Manganari Background on watersports businesses

• 1 location Short beach
• 2 location Long beach

The licences are in the company name & fully functioning for over 20 years !The waterski licences for both centers to run the tubes etc has been in Joes Ryans name ( business partner/owner) & my oldest son who also has the Greek diploma )Any one taking over the business & wants to pull tubes & take waterski etc must have the Greek diploma. Both Joe & Blayze did the BWSF coaching level 2 & with this qualification it can be translated & one will get the Greek diploma. My younger son Cody was in the UK this october 2014 doing his bwsf coaching 2 qualification & will also have the Greek diploma for 2015.A sports degree translated & verfied by the ministry of sports will also be accepted.

The businesses as a whole turnover about 50-60000 euros each summer. The profit has been from 15,000 to 30,000 between the two centres as we calculate them together during the past 5 years.This is with two full time employees & an extra for 1 1/2 months. The potential is much greater.

Their is no other watersports company in Managanari and their are no others likely to be in the future; especially if both centres are bought one would have a monolopy.

There are a few millionaires that bought property there ( one has invested in property of over 17 million euros & has probably spent a few million more ! . Another millionaire has property their as well as many friends of theirs that use our facilities for watersports. Ie they have accounts with us for their friends & kids during the summer )I have not approached them about buying my business as I don't think they are interested in this type of investment.They are however interested in having a good quality watersports on their home beach !

Conditions .... the wind comes off the land & can be very gusty close to the beach. Further out it becomes a lot more constant.The predominant wind ( meltemi is side /offshore ) South wind days can bring small surf ( we SUP on the small waves on each beach about only 3/4 times per summer ; but it has to be 6 Beaufort or more otherwise its pretty calm.
The bigger bay is less than head high over 100 meter out ( maybe even 200 meters otherwise going to about 2 /3 meters in the bay area. Within 50 meters of the beach its up to waist high.Sandy bottom.Perfect for teaching windsurfing ( probably the best windsurfing location on ios )
Kitesurfing possible; difficult in the offshore winds.We don't do it ! But I have friends that have kite surfed here.
One can basically double the below as we have roughly the same on each beach location ( business )
This is not 100 % accurate.As the canoes etc get moved between the two when we have large groups for the safaris etc

( the other beach has a pioneer 4 meter safety boat with 15hp johnson 2 stroke fully functioning/serviced . Also a bluefin 5 meter ( same as other beach )with ski pole & a 5 year 100hp merc 4 stroke in excellent condition, fully serviced & ultra reliable)

One of the beaches ( long beach )also has 60 umbrellas & about 120 beds .

All the licences work on a yearly basis which obviously sounds dodgy ! But its a matter of procedure every year. I have had 4 licences which I sold one 10 years ago ( that man still gets his licence every year ) My other 3 centres I have had licences since 1980 s with never a problem.
I think I have listed it all. Definitely not less than the above & probably more !
The larger beach has much more potential for windsurfing tuition ( perfect )& possible Kite venue.
The smaller beach is where we run our canoe safaris out of as its more sheltered . Both centres make roughly the same turnover ; but the larger beach has more potential ( the large beach is where we have the umbrellas/sunbeds ) Also during the past two summers on the large beach we have a 180 seater excursion boat ( the Garbis ) dock every saturday.The boat comes from Santourini and we have a deal with them for watersport as well as our umbrellas/sunbeds )
